With little time remaining, President Bush has made a promice to the American people that the US government is working "aggressively" to restore stability to the limping American economy.
Stating that this crisis was “deeply unsettling” for Americans is an understatement. It is difficult to keep your chin up when families are facing mortgage and credit problems; while big lending banks are being bailed out of fatal situations; while bad news floods the American television set of Wall Street continuously dropping of its current loss of 20% of its value in the past 10 trading days.
Such bad news is circulating the American populace and is seeping into the ears of the younger generation who still have little sense of urgency to save their pennies. However, Americans must now realise that the good days are slowly fading farther and farther into the past if immidiate action is not taken. The time has come to hold back on buying a pretty pair of shoes or weekly family outings. Americans must save their money.
Despite the shadows of impending economic crisis looming in the future, President Bush appears optimistic stating: "We are a prosperous nation with immense resources and a wide range of tools at our disposal. We are using these tools aggressively."
"We're in this together and we'll come through this together," he added.
