It seems as if space is the newest frontier for Gammima.AG, a computer virus that made its way to the International Space Station. Laptops being carried from earth to the ISS were not equipped with virus protection. For shame, NASA. With billions of dollars worth of cool equipment and crazy space-gadgets, couldn't you afford some Anti-Virus software? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that the internet is full of cooties.
The worm was first detected in August 2007 and lurks on infected machines waiting to steal login names for popular online games. Hold on tight to your level 70 Mage World of Warcraft players, Gammima.AG could be right around your neck of the woods!
NASA spokesperson Kelly Humphries said "This is not the first time we have had a worm or a virus. It's not a frequent occurrence, but this isn't the first time."
